Or is it ships and boats? What determines if a vessel is a ship or a boat? How would I know I’m a dog!
So I have noticed that Ted takes lots of photographs of “vessels” as he goes about his everyday business and I must say that I share this enthusiasm. It’s not quite “train spotting” which, for the uninitiated, is strange socially challenged individuals standing on train platforms recording locomotive numbers whilst wearing duffle coats or anoraks. No, definitely not train spotting, I’d say more an extension of his photographic art combined with a natural fascination for the ability to get so close to these giants of the ocean without the necessity to (dog)paddle out into the bay.

Here are a number of recent photographs ranging from static museum to ocean going tanker – enjoy:

Actually, Ted took me and the Andy puppy camping overnight; Even although there was an enormous full moon I was frightened because I could smell lots of strange creatures outside the tent. Ted got cross with me at one point about 3am when I walked all over him in the tent in my eagerness to bark at whatever deadly wild animal was outside the canvas.
Turns out it was probably a raccoon because it stole Andy’s fishing bait, including the bag!

Oh well, we had a good time and, when Ted wasn’t looking, I had a slurp of his beer and a mouthful of his dinner – don’t tell him though or he might be upset with me and that would never do.
